households into work...

The Households into Work programme will support unemployed people aged 16+ on a one-to-one basis to improve their lives in areas such as:

  • mental or physical illness
  • addiction or substance misuse
  • domestic abuse
  • housing and homelessness
  • debt issues and benefit guidance
  • additional needs with basic skills such as English, Maths, IT etc
  • low self-confidence/self-esteem
  • leaving care, or caring for another person
  • anti-social behavioural issues

The programme is designed to support at least two people who have a family connection, such as partners, parents and child, grandparents and grandchildren who are unemployed.

Even if you do not live at the same address, we can start supporting you and then encourage the second member to join the programme at a later date.

The aim is to support you in tackling barriers, not only individually, but as a household to a point where you can start to look for work.
