A big thank you to everyone that supported the Children's Centre Nursery this weekend at our fundraising event.
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses and friends of the Centre who donated hundreds of pounds worth of gifts and vouchers to be used as raffle prizes.
Special thanks go to:
The event itself, which took place at the Metal Box, was a real fun night with lots of great entertainment (and I imagine a few sore heads the next morning).
We managed to raise a whopping £641.27 which we can promise you will be put to good use buying much needed outdoor equipment for the Nursery.
Finally, thanks go to Pauline Coventry for organising the event, to Jamal Dermott for his excellent compere skills and to all the staff who worked hard to make the night such a success.
It fact, it was such good fun that we might just do it all again...
When was the last time you did something for the first time?

What a fantastic day we had in the beautiful Palm House in Sefton Park.
We enjoyed story and rhyme time, balls and parachutes games, outdoor free-play activities, planting, bird boxes, face paints and tattoos, dance workshops, book swap, a mini beast hunt and not forgetting our picnic in the park.
We also had guest appearances from Peppa Pig, Gruffallo and the Bookstart Bunny who rocked the house with their Everybunny Dance moves.
Thank you to the Palm House for letting us hold our event in your amazing building. Thanks to all the Children Centre staff, Friends of Millwood, MD Dance School and New Futures for providing transport to and from the park.
Our biggest thanks goes to the families from all over Liverpool (500+) for making the effort to join us.
I hope you'll support us again next year when we intend to celebrate our love of literacy, song and dance all over again.
